Five Things to Know About Hunting in Washington State.
1.) Washington is one of the few states that offers hunting opportunities for blacktail deer, whitetail deer, and mule deer.
2.) Washington is one of the few states that offers hunting opportunities for both Rocky Mountain and Roosevelt elk species.
3.) Washington offers multiple special drawing opportunities for deer, elk, sheep, goat, moose, and bear. Applications are typically due in April or May.
4.) Washington offers hunting opportunities for waterfowl and upland game including puddle ducks, diving ducks, Canada geese, snow geese, pheasants, quail, chukar, and doves.
5.) Washington offers over-the-counter small and big game hunting licenses for non-resident hunters. Get a Washington State hunting license here.
